Who has time for a feature-length film these days? We’ve all developed some form of ADD with our jam-packed lives, quick internet connections and more information clamouring for our attention than ever before. And since time is money, we can’t afford to waste it. Dressed In The Dark gets all of that and is here to help. In the few minutes you’re here, why not check out a short film?
From unknown filmmakers, searching for that break, to established commercial enterprises, there are so many quality stories to be told. Each month, we’ll pick five shorts that we think are worth watching. Traffic Warden is the first.
Written & Directed by: Donald Rice
Starring: David Tennant, Sophie Hunter & a few fish
Synopsis: While on duty, a less-than-dashing traffic warden forms a crush on a stranger he sees from a distance. He proceeds to insanely pursue her affection with the fervour of a stalker. A range of mishaps ensue.
Unique Selling Point: David “Doctor Who” Tennant as a traffic warden.
Verdict: So the production values are a bit underwhelming and it ultimately defies logic but it’s still Tennant. Encouraging the depth of emotional engagement that some feature-length films are not able to accomplish, it’s worth a watch. A sweet serving of idealism.
